Total Pack Management (TPM), a wholly owned subsidiary of CSG,  provides pack manufacturing and management services.  TPM focuses on implementing a comprehensive approach to manage the cost of standard and custom kits, trays and packs.  We also provide individual product pricing for those customers solely interested in our manufacturing services.  Our dual service offering gives the customer the flexibility to choose the solution that best meets their goals.    

 Traditionally, healthcare institutions concentrate on custom surgical packs because this group of products is one of the largest in terms of dollar value and is normally purchased from one supplier.  Standard kits and trays are normally acquired from multiple suppliers and not purchased in a coordinated manner.  Combined, the total cost of standard kits and trays is equal to if not exceeds the total cost of custom packs.  TPM incorporates standard and custom kits, trays, and packs into a single procurement channel in order to standardize component manufacturers, and consolidate various products where possible to reduce overall costs. 

 These coordinated efforts help control cost by reviewing multiple manufacturers to determine the best fit when evaluating cost, and the impact on patient care.  Custom and standard products are included in the program to provide a comprehensive list of the components and develop standards to reduce costs.  Our approach is designed to manage this group of products as a commodity rather than a more costly custom product.  In order to implement this approach, TPM and its customer must establish a relationship based upon mutual trust where information is shared freely and both parties achieve their goals.  Together we develop and implement innovative approaches that satisfy the goals of both parties.
